For many customers one of the major drawbacks of a custom packaging solution, was the time and expense involved in the mold making process. With most thermoforming companies sub-contracting this work out, costs and lead times soared. Additionally a great deal of control was lost and quality suffered. To respond to these concerns American Packaging moved mold manufacturing operations in-house. The results have been striking as our lead times and costs our now substantially lower than industry standard.

Our customers no longer have to worry about extravagant mold making costs when developing a custom solution. Our tool shop is the perfect example of what happens when state of the art mold making technology is combined with highly skilled mold makers. Featuring modern CNC machine tools, advanced CAD/CAM (computer assisted design/computer assisted manufacture) software, and mold makers with many years of industry experience, our tooling operations produce molds of the highest quality. They are made to the tightest of tolerances and engineered to produce parts in the most efficient manner. Additionally by conducting these operations in our facility we are able to better control the process and consequently produce molds much faster. The end result is that you receive finished product sooner and save money while doing so.
