Every effective
packaging solution begins with a carefully developed package
design. The package design will take into account not only
obvious characteristics such as color and shape, but intrinsic factors
like what type of plastic to use, and how to design the package so that
it will function most efficiently in its end use. Taking all these
factors into consideration can make package
design an exceedingly
complicated task. With highly skilled people and modern CAE/CAD (computer assisted
engineering/ Computer assisted Design) tools this complication can be reduced
drastically.
At American Packaging we hire only the most skilled designers, and then give them the modern computer tools necessary to design highly effective packaging. In addition to this, our designers understand how important our customers are to the design process. They view the customer as a resource and will incorporate as much customer input as possible into the design. Package design is an iterative process, and as such there will be many opportunities for the customer to evaluate the design as it is developed. Throughout the design process the customer will be presented with mechanical drawings, three-dimensional models, and working prototypes. By doing this the customer will be able to participate actively in refining the design so that it meets all requirements.
